Falsification and forgery

Clearstream

Computer technology has paved the way to an explosion in document falsification and forgery simply because they are now so easy to do.

Falsification and forgery are normally perpetrated by specialized cartels, but corporate resources can also be used.

They can be used to produce “real” forgeries of company documents that are then returned or used unknown to the company.

Subtle, apparently insignificant modifications to computer programs can be used for purposes like embezzling sums of money.

But no matter what deeds are done, there is always a trace. The same goes for any operations made at a workstation other than the usual, authorized tasks.
